*Our picture day will be this Wednesday, August 28th
*Back To School Night Thursday, September 29th
*Anderson Farm Field Trip 10-3-13 Please remember to pack a lunch for this field trip!! :) Also, please dress appropriately. There has been a report of mosquitoes so if you wish you may use bug repellant on your child before school. Please refrain from bringing it to school though:) Thanks!!
*Conferences are coming up in October. Check your child's Thursday Folder to set up your day and time!
*On 10-31, we will have a Halloween/Fall celebration. There will be a parade at the end of the day. Students may bring their costumes to put over their clothes for the parade. After the parade, we will have a few snacks (please sign up if you'd like to contribute-the list is in our classroom) and students can bring a board or a card game to play with. These games need to be a game that the child is familiar with and can teach other children as well as appropriate (non-violent). Likewise, costumes need to be appropriate such as appropriate coverage and no weapons/violent symbols or accessories.
*Reminder our Halloween party will be at the end of the day. You may come around 1:40 if you'd like. Please remember that students must change into their costumes and wear them over their clothes.
*No school the week of 11-25 see you the following week
*On 12-20, we will have a small celebration at the end of the day and will be creating a small surprise for our families. Once our surprise is over (around 2:30/2:40-we'd really like to keep it special for the kids and a surprise for their families), we'd like to invite the families for some treats and stories. I'd love to have some volunteers read their favorite winter books (please share a winter book rather than a holiday book-I will also have some winter books if you'd like to volunteer but do not have a book). It would be great to have children in small groups listening to stories and enjoying a treat. Children may come in their pajamas to make it extra cozy:) Also, I am looking for some volunteers to bring some snacks. We don't need much but would love for you to sign up if you can. I will have a sign -up sheet for both reading a book and bringing a snack in our classroom. Thanks!
